Team Overleaf is thrilled to announce that Mary Anne Baynes will be joining us as our new Head of Sales and Marketing.

Mary Anne has more than 20 years of experience in international sales, marketing and program development for various technology-based companies, both large and small – most recently in the STM, Institutional, and Association publishing industries through Cenveo Publisher Services, The Charlesworth Group and American Journal Experts.

Through her roles with these companies, she has worked successfully within publisher, researcher and institutional markets, providing a firm understanding of the many layers within the scientific publishing community.

Mary Anne has also been instrumental in the global expansion of these services. Owing to her in-depth industry experience and knowledge, she was invited to become the co-chair of the Society for Scholarly Publishing Education Committee, to help guide the direction for SSP’s educational seminars and webinars.

John Hammersley adds:

“Mary Anne is expertly poised to expand global awareness and adoption of the Overleaf service through her unique mix of industry, publishing, and technology expertise. I’m confident that with Mary Anne leading our sales and marketing efforts we’re in the perfect position for Overleaf to serve an increasing number of students, teachers and researchers in 2015 and beyond.”

Mary Anne comments:

“This is an exciting opportunity and I’m honoured to join Overleaf and their forward-thinking team. Overleaf provides powerful technology and it’s an ambitious time of growth for the company with wide interest from universities and the publishing community. I look forward to working on their continued development and expansion into the scientific and scholarly publishing markets.”

Please join us in welcoming Mary Anne to our growing team!
