The thesis template is a modified version of the thesis template from Overleaf (WriteLaTeX) website, suitable for the English thesis prepared with the letter head of the Tel Aviv University and the example of inclusion of the Hebrew part of the thesis.
The files included here appear to be from 2005. I am trying to track down the 2007 and 2009 files.
We have had many requests for thesis formats already set up in TeX. None of the files are guaranteed, but they have worked successfully for previous graduates. The Graduate College changes thesis formatting requirements from time to time; as far as we know, these files conform to Fall 2009 requirements. However, be sure to consult the current version of the Graduate College Handbook.
The 2009 version of the template was prepared by a student who is himself in the process of writing his phd thesis and graduating. This template has thus not been validated in any way by the graduate college. There is still no indication that a thesis prepared with this template has been received and accepted by the graduate college. The student who wrote this package can make no guarantee that this template will comply to the current rules of the graduate college. This student is also busy, so support may be hit or miss until he graduates.
The 2007 version of the template was prepared by Tim Head, based on prior templates by Peter Czoschke and David Hull.
uiucthesis is a LaTeX package for formatting theses in the format required by the University of Illinois, effective Fall 2007.

This template was originally published on ShareLaTeX and subsequently moved to Overleaf in November 2019.

Important Note:
This theme includes minor changes from the original METU LaTeX template provided in the school website, created by Utku Erdoğdu, and Güneş Erkan. These changes are done for my own PhD thesis in the Department of Industrial Design and are listed below. I'm uploading it in case any other fellow METU researchers find them useful!
Cheers,
Emre

Thesis template files to get started. This template is especially suited for MS and PhD students of Middle East Technisal University (METU) as Graduate School of Applied Science publishes and promotes usage of LaTeX.
Original template is provided under http://fbe.metu.edu.tr/thesis-manual. It is fetched as of August 2nd, 2013.
Changes:
- This version uses Biblatex with Biber backend for references with APA 7 formatting.
- Includes support for referencing movies and TV shows.
- Includes an Appendix option to show original quotes, if you present translated quotes in your text from interviews etc. See comments for usage.
- Updated the Turkish title of Industrial Design department as "Endüstriyel Tasarım" from "Endüstri Ürünleri Tasarımı"
- Other minor fixes.
